Spades online is a game in which two teams of four players compete against one other. Members of the team are seated across from one another. The deck is a conventional 52-card deck, with the Ace at the top and the number 2 at the bottom.
The user's player is the first to begin. The user is dealt the cards first, followed by the rest of the table. Each player receives a hand of 13 cards when all cards are dealt.
Each player now bids the amount of tricks they believe they can win. The objective is for each team to win enough tricks to equal or exceed its total bids. As an example, if a team's two players bid 2 and 3 respectively, they should win a total of at least 5 tricks.
A Nil bid is made when a player bids zero tricks. A 0 bid indicates that the player has no intention of winning any tricks. If they manage to win zero tricks, their team will receive an extra 100 points. If they do not successful, they will lose 100 points.
The game's objective is to reach 500 points. After each round, points are accumulated until one team reaches 500. There are 13 tricks in each round. There is no limit to how many rounds can be played in order to reach the 500-point goal.
