Do not forget to lubricate. After cleaning is complete, your pistol must be lubricated. The metal may become vulnerable to rust if you clean it with solvents and other chemicals. Parts of your pistol may corrode if you forget to reapply gun lubricant and leave the solvent behind. After reassembling the gun, it is best to double-check your procedure and its functionality. You might go to the owner's manual once more to make sure your weapon is put together correctly. It will make it easier for you to spot any missing or misplaced items. Make that the mechanisms are in functioning order and that nothing is catching or impeding the gun from firing if it appears good. Before using it again, it's wise to check whether anything is amiss.
