The word 'get away' has been in the news a lot of late, and with good reason. A quick trip to the nearby beach or a long weekend in the mountains can be just the ticket to get you out of town for the weekend or a couple of days. It's all about planning your route to the best destinations and being well-stocked with the requisite credit cards. Taking the time to plan out your itinerary can save your sanity in the long run.
The old saying that goes something like "you can't go home again unless you leave for the airport" isn't a new one Getaway, but it is still relevant to this day and age. This is especially true for affluent families. Keeping the kids amused and happy should be a priority, if not a must.
Having said that, it's also important to remember that some family time is still the most important thing in life, and that includes your bedtime. Fortunately, this isn't as big of a deal as you might think. Some companies are actually making it easy to make your own vacation a reality. And don't forget to check out your local airlines for deals and specials.
