Hardox products have twice the service life of similar products made from other grades of steel with the same hardness. This means that the user will save time and money by not having to replace worn-out consumables or repair parts on a regular basis.Hardox 400 is not meant to be heated further. It obtained its mechanical properties through quenching and, when necessary, subsequent tempering. The properties of the delivery condition cannot be retained after being exposed to temperatures above 250 degrees Celsius (482 F).
