Careprost is a brand name for an ocular solution used to treat hypotrichosis, which is characterized by insufficient or insufficient eyelashes. Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution is the active component in Careprost Eye Drops. Bimatoprost is a prostaglandin analog that promotes eyelash development. Bimatoprost acts by lengthening, thickening, and darkening the eyelashes. It is thought to enhance eyelash hair growth by lengthening the growth phase (anagen) and increasing the amount of hair in this phase. Careprost eye drops are normally administered to the base of the upper eyelashes with the included applicator or brush. The solution is used once a day, typically in the evening.
