Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor in the state of Texas, holding a Doctorates degree in Social Work from Tulane University. She has been in the mental health industry for over 25 years holding such positions as social worker, counselor, founder of a non-profit to assist families in challenging times, and an adjunct professor for a local university. Michelle is passionate about the mental health industry and is very active in our community.
Michelle specializes in relationship concerns such as divorce, marriage and premarital issues. She can assist with coping strategies, stress, family conflict, infertility, infidelity and more. Michelle also works with individuals experiencing chronic illness, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, life coaching, LGBTQIA+, stress, PTSD, and trauma. She enjoys working with teenagers, adults, couples, and families.
The types of therapy Michelle has trained in are evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Cultural Sensitivity, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Method, Psychoanalytic, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Structural Family Therapy and many others. She believes that every person is special and deserves a tailored approach through their journey of healing. Utilizing a variety of tools makes the experience of working with Michelle impactful, validating, and transpiring.
