If you’re someone who loves to hoard loot in Diablo 4 (like me), you’re going to want to hear about Treasure Breach. This affix completely transformed how I approach dungeons, and I can’t get enough of it.
What makes Treasure Breach so mind-blowing is its ability to flood the dungeon with 20 to 30+ Treasure Goblins. I mean, imagine entering a dungeon and being surrounded by goblins everywhere. These aren’t just any goblins either. You’ve got your regular goblins, gilded goblins, and even collector goblins all running around trying to escape with their treasure. The chaos of it all is absolutely exhilarating.
The sheer volume of loot that drops during a Treasure Breach run is incredible. On Torment 4, you can walk away with 10,000+ Obducite, millions of gold, Forgotten Souls, runes, and legendaries. It’s the perfect way to farm masterworking materials, sanctification mats, and pretty much everything else you need to push your gear to the next level. And let’s not forget about the alts — having a steady gold and material income means I can quickly gear up new characters without breaking a sweat.
But here’s the kicker: Full clears are mandatory. You cannot afford to skip a single corner, side path, or nook in these dungeons because goblins are sneaky. They hide everywhere, from small rooms to narrow corridors. The first few runs I did, I thought I could rush through it, but I quickly learned that leaving a goblin behind means leaving out loot.
There’s also something immensely satisfying about finding a gilded or collector goblin hidden in a random corner of the dungeon. It’s like a mini treasure hunt that makes every run feel unique and exciting. It feels like the perfect mix of looting and exploration — a core part of what makes Diablo 4 so addictive.
